Letter from the editor
“There is no greater anticipated time of year for the APP staff than fall!” Those words were the first line of the very first editor’s letter that I had ever written. Those words appeared in the very first issue of A Primitive Place magazine in the fall of 2010. I remember how nervous I was writing that first editor’s letter and how much I wanted the fans of the APP forum to fall in love with the new magazine. My strongest desire is that the readers of A Primitive Place magazine enjoy each and every issue. As the magazine embarks on its tenth year, I cannot help but reflect on all that has happened. I am thankful for the opportunity to bring this magazine to you and to be able to do what I love every single day.

All of our lives are a collection of paths. Sometimes the path is clear and straight with no congestion or confusion. Other times, however, the path is bumpy with lots of curves and dead ends. As I have lived my life, I have found that we learn so much from the paths we take in life and as strange as it may sound, we learn the most from those bumpy and curvy paths. None of us know what the future holds, but when we do our best to have faith and to believe that all things are possible, we will see that everything always works out for the best.
I truly do thank all of you for all you have done for me since I began publishing this magazine. I truly could not have done it without your support and encouragement. All of us at A Primitive Place magazine are thankful for you, the readers, who inspire each of us more than you could ever know. Here is to year ten, and may there be many, many more!
