"Living in New England offers an abundance of early American and primitive decor, which I am grateful for."

Living in a modest New England style Gambrel home with her husband John, daughter Ashley (15), and son Nick (13), Bonnie's style of decorating leans towards an early American look.
Spring Thyme in Massachusetts
known as, prims4me, is influenced by her
surrounding history.
As a descendent
of William Brewster,
who came
over
on the Mayflower, Bonnie, also
"If I don't like it, I paint it!"

Photo to the Right: Bonnie painted a
hutch that was given to her by her mother.
It previously had a stain finish to it, but now is a Burgandy Red by Benjamin Moore.

Bonnie is fond of the early American colors mustards, muted reds, and black. This color scheme is carried out throughout her home. She's especially drawn
to furniture pieces in these colors.

Bonnie painted her kitchen cabinets in
Barn Red, by Ralph Lauren, and put up a beadboard backsplash in a buttery yellow a few years ago. The inspiration came from one
of her favorite magazines; Country Living.
With help from her daughter,
Bonnie re-did the bathroom in a crow/star theme. She purchased all
the fixtures at Home Depot. She is very fortunate to have a supportive husband who lives with her decorating whims!
